Shadowcrest a.k.a. Shady was one of the people locked away accidentally in a cargo pod while hiding from a Humans First mob, that was subsequently loaded aboard the Folly. Neal Foster undertook to keep hir and the others safe until they could be returned, but an act of violence against him resulted in a traumatic injury to Shadowcrest that would have killed hir if shi hadn't been "processed". This method of healing uses the person's DNA code to 'optimise' the body, which meant that shi came out with an adult body that had reached its full potential. Shi was very big, very busty, and very much sexually mature, but shi still had the mind of a 12 year old youth. Shi is learning to cope with the radical changes in hir body that shi didn't expect to deal with for a while yet. Additionally, hir immature Talent has exploded into full power which shi is struggling to control.
