The 1st South Fur Lands digital collection
Issue: #1 (July 1995)

In July 1995, Jason "Jagafeh" Gaffney and Marko "Haal" Laine published South Fur Lands, Australasia's first furry fanzine. Although it took until November for the next edition to come out, it soon settled down into a regularly published fanzine showcasing the works of Australians, New Zealanders, and people who found our publication to be an interesting alternative venue for their stuff.
South Fur Lands is still being published today by The Chakat's Den, but it's now being assaulted from all sides by modern alternatives. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em! The first ten issues of the fanzine have been digitised so far, as well as the first two adult "supplements".
Each issue has been made into a separate slideshow of medium-size images. You can scroll through the pages manually, or let the slideshow do the work. If you want to see the full-size view, just click on the image.
You can also buy a CD-ROM which has all these current digital versions on it for $25 including postage.
Of course if you still prefer to read your fanzines in dead tree format, go to the Buy SFL page to see how you can order them. We have over fifty issues and ten adult annuals to choose from. We hope that you enjoy every one of them!
